Spore trap cassette, also known as “air sampling,” is the Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) industry’s most widely used and scientifically proven method of testing for mold: It accurately identifies and counts the mold concentrations in your breathable air. The IAQ industry standard requires that all “legitimate” air samples be taken through a 15-liter air-flow pump and into an ASTM-rated spore trap cassette. Spore/air sample cassettes should be analyzed by an AIHA- accredited independent laboratory (www.aiha.org).
